February Cincinnati Magazine
Well, The February issue of Cincinnati Magazine is out with no mention of knitting. Hopefully, they just pushed it off another month and didn't kill it entirely.
Trendsetter Yarns
We will be placing our first order of Trendsetter early next week. Hopefully, it will arrive in the next couple weeks. It should be quite a site to see. We are planning on bringing in at least 4 lines and we have already picked out over 40 different colors. We are doing our best to bring in pinks, whites, and blacks.
Plymouth Novelty Yarns
We just got in a huge shipment of Plymouth novelty yarns. Let's see.... 2 colors of Paradise, 6 colors of Colorlash, 5 colors of Dazzlelash, 6 colors of Firenze, 10 colors of Eros, and 4 colors of the new Electra. Hurry in while the selection is good! I don't expect to have this many colors by next week.
I finally finished my Mom's Entrelac sweater. Only one month past Christmas. I have taken some photos it and I hope to have them up this weekend.

Well, we spent the better part of yesterday morning digging out of 8" of snow. Just when I thought we might be having a mild winter, Mother Nature woke up. It does make for perfect knitting weather.
Cincinnati Magazine Article on Knitting
We have gotten a couple calls from Cincinnati Magazine about an article they are working on for their February issue. Hopefully, they will print it. I will be checking the news stands everyday next week. I will let everyone know when the issue comes out. It should be interesting to see what slant they will be taking on knitting.
Project Photos
We finally got our digital camera in! I have been playing with it a little, but still have not taken any photos of projects. Once I get a hang of it, I will be posting photos left and right. I have started in on the second arm of my Entrelac sweater. I will be sure to take a photo of the final project. Once this sweater is done, it is on to the Silky Wool sweater for my sister-in-law as a late Christmas present. Dog sweater number one is done, and I am starting on two others. We have to keep our little "best friends" warm this winter.
New Yarn
Let's see.... We have gotten in huge shipments of Noro Kureyon and Silk Garden. We have added more colors of Brown Sheep's Lamb's Pride Worsted, Classic Elite Montera, Joseph Galler Peruvian Tweed & Prime Alpaca, Harrisville Orchid & Flax and Wool, and everyone's favorite, Crystal Palace Splash. We are planning on ordering Trendsetter Yarn, hopefully, later this week. If everything goes as planned, we should see our first shipment in the coming weeks. The holidays delayed us getting everything set up.

I found a wide variety of knitting articles over the past week. I alway enjoy reading articles from around the nation on knitting.

My humble apologies for missing a few days of posting. I have been patiently waiting for a new digital camera to take photos of my projects, only to find out it has been back ordered for several more weeks. I hope it will be worth the wait. I got my first link from Knitted by Me. Many thanks to Ed. Be sure to check his blog! I must admit, I am very jealous of his setup. I obviously have a long way to go. I will be growing my knitting blog links on the left side.
Knitting Projects
Let's see... I am starting a new easy project. Its a very small dog sweater for a toy poodle. I have already knitted a fairisle sweater for our boston terrier. I am done with the shoulders on the Entrelac Sweater. Now only the arms to go.
Oxford, OH Knitting Guild
Oxford, OH is starting a knitting guild. Hopefully they will be able to get some students from Miami Univ involved. I will post information as I get it. Knitting guilds are popping up all over. We now have knitting guilds in Middletown, Dayton, Sharronville, and those are just the ones I know about. Its great to see. If you are not already a member of a guild, I highly recommend joining one.

Cascades of Yarn
Over the last couple days we have gotten in more yarn than I know what to do with. It's a good thing our new shelves are done. Let's see what's new: Cascade 220 and 220 Quatro, Classic Elite Montera, Frog Tree - Sport & Fingering weight, Opal - Magic & more hand-paint, Splash - new colors we have never carried before, Brittany needles, and Crystal Palace needles. Whew. The only brand new line is the Opal Magic , all the other yarn is re-stocking of colors we were out of and some new colors.

Knitting Articles
I love finding articles that feature knitting. I want to take the time to share some of my favorite articles. Although I do not think this will be a daily listing, I will certainty try to post a few articles every week.
These stories always pull at my heart strings. It is so good to hear people taking the time to knit for others in need.
Volunteers knit blankets for seriously ill in San Francisco
Knitting by feel, woman donates scarves to FISH
Here are a couple articles about knitting being taught in school. I always love to hear about this.
Knitting for Interim
Knitting is all the rage at one New Jersey school
Of course, I can always find articles about younger people knitting.
Younger generation tends to its knitting
Noro Entrelac Sweater
I have moved onto the shoulders of my Mom's sweater. I'm almost to the home stretch. Just the arms left to go!

Shelves Are Finished!
Finally, all the new shelves are in place and ready for more yarn! Hopefully everyone likes the changes we have made. We have moved some yarn around to make it easy to find what you are looking for. We have done a better job grouping all of the wool, cotton, Acrylic, and blends together.
Regia Clear Boots
We just got our first order of the Regia clear boots. They are perfect for showing off your knitted Opal or Regia socks!
On Line Linie Punta
A huge order of Punta just came in, finally. It has been a challenge to keep the Punta in-stock, but we are trying our hardest. We have a scarf knitted up with just the Punta.

Happy New Year's
Happy New Year's everyone! I suppose today officially marks the end of the holiday season. Holiday decorations start to come down as does the temperature. While it doesn't look like it will be quite as cold as last year, I imagine mother nature has some surprises for us in the coming months. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the 60 degree weather in late December. I am looking forward to spending cold January and February nights in front of a fire with a big wool knitting project on my lap to keep me warm.
Knitting Projects
I want to try to keep this a knitting blog as much as it is a store information site. Unfortunately, with so much going on with shelf building and new products coming in constantly, I have just not had the time to work on any projects. I will be playing with Blogger to see about adding some pictures and a project list. My two big projects are sweaters, but I have numerous other projects in various stages of completion. I will keep everyone apprised of my progress, the yarn I use, and hopefully, photos.
Quick store update: Most of our new shelves are built and in place. We have one more to build tomorrow night and Sunday.
